What is an e-collar?

An e-collar is a collar that delivers low-level, electronic stimulation to create a muscle contraction. Very similar to stim units used in the medical and athletic fields, these devices deliver a ‘tap’ to the dog after receiving a signal from a remote. The tap begins at a very low level, often imperceptible to humans, and is adjustable. In the same way you can adjust your voice and body language to convey different information, you can adjust the ‘volume’ of the tap. Through a gradual training process, the dog comes to recognize the tap as a reminder to return their attention to you and respond to the command.

How are your Board and Train Programs different from those offered elsewhere?

Our Board and Trains are completely customized to the needs of you and your dog. Each dog (and owner!) is unique. Rather than offering the same program and using the same techniques with every dog, we use the tools that are most suited to YOUR dog’s personality and temperament to get the best results for everyone!
